The new shape
of H&E staining.
Simple. Safe. Standardized.
The innovative staining tablet technology, engineered for modern histopathology.

From Heritage
to Transformation.
For more than a century, Hematoxylin and Eosin staining has been the foundation of diagnostic pathology — trusted by generations of pathologists, it remains one of the most established techniques for tissue morphology evaluation and clinical interpretation.
The symbol of engineering, human ambition and the birth of modern innovation.
A milestone of scientific progress.
The beginning of global connectivity and everyday technology.
The next step in human exploration.
While science has progressed towards molecular precision, digital pathology, and AI-driven diagnostics, staining workflows have remained exposed to variability.

The need for standardization
Today, laboratories require more than tradition. They require
Smarter Staining,
Superior Diagnosis.
Imagine transforming your staining routine into a streamlined, controlled and eco-friendly process — with diagnostic excellence. The StainTabs Line by Diapath brings next-generation innovation to histopathology with ready-to-use hematoxylin and eosin tablets.
"Precision in diagnosis does not begin at the microscope.
It begins at the chemistry of staining.
Batch-to-Batch Reproducibility
Each tablet is pharma-grade and validated to maintain consistent performance over time, ensuring reliability for both traditional and digital pathology applications.
Optimized Quality & Diagnostic Standardization
Designed to support precision under the microscope, ensuring standardized staining quality and reliable diagnostic interpretation.
Digital & Computational Pathology Ready
Engineered to meet the demands of modern pathology, supporting enhanced image analysis and reducing variability in AI-assisted diagnostic workflows.
Consistency is not achieved. It is designed.
Designed with
pharmaceutical precision.
Solid-tablet formulations that combine active staining agents with stabilizing components in a controlled, reproducible format — minimizing variability, maximizing performance.

Optimal Nuclear Staining
Through controlled oxidation of hematoxylin to hematein, the tablets provide high affinity for nucleic acids (DNA/RNA), ensuring sharp nuclear detail while minimizing background staining. A key advantage for accurate histopathological interpretation.

Sharp nuclear detail. Vivid cytoplasmic contrast.
True standardization with freshly reconstituted stain prepared directly in your laboratory.
Engineered around what matters.
Stable & Long-Lasting
Chemical stability ensures extended shelf life without degradation from light or temperature — a major limitation of liquid solutions.
Space-Saving Format
The tablet form replaces bulky liquid containers, reducing storage volume by up to 90% and simplifying logistics.

Sustainability
Less packaging, easier disposal. A sustainable alternative that reduces plastic waste and supports safer, fully recyclable disposal.
Zero Flammability
No liquid, no hazard. The solid format enables safer handling, removes ADR transport concerns and simplifies shipping.
Precision staining has never
been this effortless.
Just drop it in distilled water. Done.
Drop the tablet into distilled or deionized water inside a clean dissolving container.
Variability vs. Stability.
Stains aging slowly causes chemical modifications and low-quality results. Every StainTabs tablet is calibrated to ensure optimal and reproducible results.

Standardizing H&E staining to improve histopathological consistency.
The VEED Project evaluated a new tab-based H&E stain developed to reduce solution decay and improve reproducibility. Thirteen expert pathologists blindly compared 24 pairs of histological images.
The novel stain proved non-inferior to the standard approach overall (z = 2.7) and demonstrated significantly better visualization of stromal tissue (p = 0.008).
"Awesome, reliable, safe, sustainable, enhances diagnostic quality, optimizes space, easy, intuitive use in the lab."
Everything you need to know.
StainTabs can be disintegrated in deionized or distilled water.
